Some people have trouble wearing dentures and partials. This is usually due to insufficient amounts of bone to help stabilize them. When the amount of bone is inadequate and implants are needed, bone grafts are sometimes required. Bone loss occurs for many reasons. Whether the teeth were lost at an early age or there was trauma to an area, bone grafts can be placed to replace the missing bone.

There are different types of bone grafts and procedures. In some cases, we can use bone from another part of your body or donated bone. There are also times where a bone substitute can be used to help replace the missing bone. We go over the options available and determine which one will be the best for each patient’s situation and restorative needs.
